Connected with Honor Oak Christian Fellowship and Conference Center in southeast London, England where T. Austin-Sparks ministered. C.J.B Harrison was sent by Sparks to minister at Westmoreland Chapel.

June 1958 — Jim and Bette Reetzke began attending Westmoreland Chapel

October 1958 — Daniel and Anna Chang (Samuel Chang’s son and daughter-in-law) began meeting at Westmoreland Chapel

July 1959 — Samuel and Lygia Chang moved to Los Angeles from Hong Kong and began meeting at Westmoreland Chapel

‍It was here that many of the seeking saints from Westmoreland Chapel began to meet to fellowship about their desire for the normal church life.

December 5-7, 1960 — Brother Lee, on his second trip to the U.S., met with those wanting to leave Westmoreland about matters such as the church ground, denominations, the proper stand and oneness.

On May 27, 1962 — 20 to 25 saints took the ground here for the first time as the church in Los Angeles. The first table meeting of the church in Los Angeles was held here and the church life in Los Angeles began in this home.

December 21-31, 1962 — Site of the first conference held by Brother Lee after he determined to begin the work in the U.S. The topic was The All-Inclusive Christ.

July 13 - August 24, 1963
— The first training in the United States with Brother Witness Lee was held from June 28-Aug 24. A ten-day conference on The Central Thought of God preceded the 6-week training. Brother Lee covered 18 lessons on life, 18 lessons on truth, 6 lessons on the church, and 6 lessons on service. These messages are now printed as Basic Principles of the Experience of Life, Basic Principles for the Practice of the Church Life, Basic Principles for the Service in the Church Life, The Building of God, The Work of the Human Spirit, To Serve in the Human Spirit, Our Human Spirit, and A Brief Definition of the Kingdom of the Heavens.
